A great space saver and cost a fraction of a complete set of individual dumbbells. So far they have been very sturdy but due to the “selecttech weight” feature I do not drop them like I do with single steel dumbbells. I recommend the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells for a home gym.

Bowflex dumbbells cannot be dropped. In fact, certain models like the SelectTech 552’s have warnings on them stating that they shouldn’t be dropped. Dropping them can crack the plastic parts or cause the adjustable dials to break. It’s also possible for some of the plates to break if the dumbbells are dropped.

No, the treadmill requires a JRNY subscription. If you dont pay for access to the Bowflex Treadmill 6 JRNY subscription the whole machine stops working. According to customer service the only way to enable it is going into a “store demo mode.”
